AN ADVANCED OPPORTUNITY
For many years, people would attend our Discovery Seminar and then were offered the opportunity to commit to a three-year school. The school consisted of weekly, in-person lectures with Scriptural Studies, and an exclusive group for members to have hands-on training.
The world has changed a lot since the 1980’s and founder Ken Nair wanted the opportunity to reach more men to share these life-changing principles, thus Christ Quest Institute went online. CQI online has allowed these teachings to be accessed by people all over the world & in a time frame that their lives permitted.
Ken Nair and his team went to work creating two options: Christ Quest Institute Basic and Christ Quest Institute Plus (CQI Basic & CQI+). Both offer an online school complete with the Discovery Seminar, 63 video lessons, printouts for Lecture Notes and Scripture Studies, plus 7 projects given out throughout the 2 years to build Christ-like characteristics in your life. However, CQI+ has the bonus of 2 years of bi-weekly live video calls with Ken and CQI Director Tim Wedel for hands-on training called Fellow Warriors for an additional fee.
The purpose of this school is not to rebuild marriages. However, we will give you tools to help you establish a godly marriage. What is the difference? When a husband learns how to apply God’s ways to his life, the application will become an exemplary, godly, testimony in his marriage. The singular purpose of this ministry is to build literal, living examples of Jesus, the Son of God, the Christ, since that is what God requires of every Christian husband.
Some examples of what you will learn in the CQI course will include levels of Christianity that you have never seen before. Here are some examples of the level at which we teach and what a CQI student will be exposed to.
- Discovering and clearly defining with words, graphics and photographs, aimed at thoroughly enabling each person to understand the gift that God gave your own spirit at conception that we call Motivational Spiritual Gifts.
- Discovering when, and specifically how, the Fruit of the Spirit manifests itself, plus when and how it is acquired.
- Validating biblically that every person has a human spirit. Again, this is received at conception from God.
- Learning how to make every day, practical application of Galatians 2:20, wherein I am to be crucified with Christ. We will teach a man how to personally develop spiritually superior maturity, through his dying to self.
- Understanding the mind and spirit of his wife, as the Christ does.
- Become emotionally competent as the Christ is.
- Learn how to retranslate every event in his life (along with his wife and family) into learning opportunities…from God…as the Christ can/did/does.
CQI+ adds in the exclusive bonus of hands-on training with mentors Ken and Tim. You will have either 1 or 1 ½ hours, depending on the size of the group, by meeting with other Fellow Warriors to discuss any questions, share real life experiences where the mentors will walk you through personal application, share success in projects that will be given in the course, and comradery among the group members.
How are the CQI Plus classes conducted?
There are three beginning steps that must be taken before the first Fellow Warriors hands on training:
1.) A student will be required to view the video from the CQI portal of the Discovery Seminar.
2.) Following that, before viewing each specific lesson, each student will be required to complete the Scripture Study homework provided. The purpose of doing the Scripture Study homework before the lesson is to biblically prepare the student. The information will validate the message for him of that video’s lesson.
3.) View the lesson’s video and take notes on the provided Lecture Notes handout for discussion at the Fellow Warriors meeting.
To emphasize the seriousness about the student being transformed into Christ-likeness, each student will be required to send the copy of their completed homework to Tim Wedel in order to verify that it was indeed completed. After Tim receives the student’s homework, he will send them a copy of Ken’s answers for that lesson’s particular homework. Ken’s answers do not mean to imply that your answers are wrong. They are only designed to further the understanding of the principles and message of the lesson for which those answers are offered.
There will be a live, online gathering called Fellow Warriors every other week via Zoom. This is designed to give comradery and accountability to the men in this group as well as be mentored by Ken and Tim. Here you will be given time to ask questions to gain understanding and clarity of the concepts taught (which may seem foreign to you), share how you are doing on the projects given, and express how the lesson affected you. It is always encouraging as students are also given the opportunity to share their growth as they are applying what they are learning throughout the two years. The men find it refreshing to not feel like they are the only one experiencing similar experiences and this gives them a chance to bond.
PART 1: FRESHMAN
Involves Bible study homework that must be completed before attending the class it was designed to cover. The homework’s purpose is to prepare the student for the class lecture it precedes. Each lecture has a goal and learning objectives that will be defined. The focus of the freshman year is to understand our human spirit (the same human spirit, the Holy Spirit indwells when we accept Jesus Christ as our personal savior). To become spiritually mature; to become capable of understanding our wife’s human spirit as well as the human spirit in others. The ultimate goal is to illustrate Christ to our wife (who knows us better than anyone else) because we are learning how to make Him Lord of our life. And, the evidence of Christ actually being Lord of our life, is seen in our greater capacity for being spiritually sensitive to the needs of our wife and others.
PART 2: SOPHOMORE
The Bible study homework continues. The goal is to become an expert in the things of God and not even beginners in the things of the world. The sophomore year is the most demanding as a man learns to make the transition from mechanically performing, to becoming more and more able to function as a spiritually mature Christian.
The student realizes that mechanical solutions to spiritual lessons don’t work; that those methods cause the problems to persist. The accountability classes become much more personal, generating the opportunity to be more transparent and candid, as the student realizes there really are answers that apply to and resolve ever-day life situations.
Realizing that all the circumstances, situations and conditions which present themselves in life have spiritual significance with lessons to be learned. The student is learning, how to translate, understand and apply those lessons that allow them to experience their benefits.
PART 3: JUNIOR
This year continues with more intensive Bible study homework. The goal consistently remains that of becoming more and more Christ-like. This will includes gaining a wider understanding of the answers to more and more of life’s situations, circumstances and conditions. This will help the students much more quickly recognizing God’s purposes in their life and the lives of those for whom God has given them the responsibility to care for their spirits…
The student gains an ability to perceive the heart or spirit of others, which would be an emulation of Christ’s ability. And, among other considerations, the student also gains the ability to fulfill the scriptural admonition to weep with those who weep and rejoice with those who rejoice. Each student will be building a reputation by gaining credibility in the eyes of a wider population. They will be able to answer those who ask of the hope and purpose they see in each students living examples of Christ-likeness.
