Marriage | Seeking the Lord in Marriage

A Touching Testimony by Ron

It’s always uplifting to receive an encouraging letter. But this one is an exceptional communication because it was sent to another person who forwarded it to me. That extra effort is extra meaningful.

Brother Ken;

I just want to take a moment to encourage you. I truly know what it feels like to be unappreciated by many for doing what the Lord has called me to do. Once in awhile He allows someone to express their appreciation for the truth they received, and it feels good all over.

I received a call this morning from a gentleman in Indiana. For years this man called me regularly, telling me of the ‘witch’ he had married; how she had left him and taken all the kids with her and had placed a restraining order against him so he couldn’t see the kids or her again.

After years of encouraging him to seek the Lord; one time about two years ago he called again and started in again about his ‘witch.’ I stopped him immediately and said; ‘Ron, I don’t want to hear this same stuff over again. In fact, I don’t ever want to hear from you again until you obtain and totally read and fill out the workbook, written by a dear friend of mine. After you totally fill out the handbook, I want you to offer it to your wife, if she will listen to you at all. So, please don’t call me again until you do this.’

About five weeks later, he called. His first words were, ‘My God, Pastor Webb; It wasn’t her; it was me!’ How could I have been so blind? (I told him I had spoken the same words after I had read the same material.)

He called today to let me know he and his wife are to be ‘engaged’ again on Aug. 8th, 2009, and she is closely watching him to see if he has truly changed as much as it seems he has. He was so excited and again expressed his appreciation for the insight your materials have him.

Another victory, my brother. Love ya!
