After getting to visit Mamertine Prison in Rome Italy, where St. Paul was imprisoned, I wanted to read about Paul’s journey to Rome. How he was taken by a ship which was being tossed around in the sea. Paul advised those in charge of the ship that they shouldn’t sail but they ignored him and set sail only to find themselves in great trouble.  Acts 27:21(b) tells us that God was very real to Paul, which is why he could endure that dark prison and not lose his love for God.

In Acts 27:21(b)-26 tells those men, you should have listened to me, and not have sailed from Crete and incurred this disaster and loss. “And now I urge you to take heart, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only the ship. For there stood by me this night an angel of the God to whom I belong, and whom I serve, “saying,’ Do not be afraid, Paul; you must be brought before Caesar; and indeed God has granted you all those who sail with you.’ Therefore take heart, men, for I believe God, that it will be just as it was told me. “However, we must run aground on a certain island.”  

There is more, you can read more about it. I was just enjoying Paul’s commitment that gave him the strength to endure all the hardships that he did while in Rome.
