Life really stinks sometimes. In just this year alone, I have experienced my cousin’s death and watched the ache in the lives of those I love, my sister deal with her son not talking to her for over 2 years, my friend’s son loose his life to drugs, prayers with my friend for her alcoholic husband and many more hurtful things. While we do not know why we must go through these situations; God does. He is strengthening us as well as doing other works. I know that I pray the most when I am in need. I lean on Him more when I am in need.
Sometimes we just need someone to talk with and to pray with us. We want you to know that you are always welcome to make an appointment with us and we would love to do this with you. David also dealt with painful and fearful situations. I find comfort in his words which I have included a few below:
Psalm 118:14-16
The LORD is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation. Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous: “The LORD’s right hand has done mighty things! The LORD’s right hand is lifted high; the LORD’s right hand has done mighty things!”
Psalm 119:25
I am laid low in the dust; preserve my life according to Your Word.
Psalm 119:50
My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.
Psalm 119:71
It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn Your decrees.
Psalm 119:114-115
You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in Your Word. Away from me, you evildoers, that I may keep the commands of my God!
Psalm 120:1
